REGISTRATION FOR THE 2013 WALK IS OPEN.

Who can participate?
Everyone can participate. Even You.

You don't need to be an athlete. Start a walking program today. Research has provided evidence that women who have been sedentary and started walking programs lead healthier lives. Your success will necessitate a commitment to train your body and your soul, and your commitment will inspire others to support your training by making donations to fight breast cancer in your name. You will succeed because it's for a great cause and the monies raised will benefit your families, friends and neighbors affected by breast cancer right here on Long Island.

The first three participants to finish the event will receive a commemorative plaque. For those who are interested, their times will be made available.

Walkers
No matter what your physical condition is today, you can do it and we’ll help you through every step of this amazing journey. Form a team, train with a friend or join one of the many LI2Day training walks. A complete list of training walks and locations is provided on our calendar page.

Most questions you might have about the LI2DAY experience are answered in our newly revised FAQ page. If there's a question you have that's not answered there please email us at info@li2daywalk.org or call (631) 863-2329.

A $125 registration fee is due at the time of registration. The registration fee is used to cover walk expenses enabling 100% of the donations you raise go directly to our beneficiary organizations. LI2Day accepts MasterCard, Visa, American Express and personal checks.

Crewmembers: Three Day Commitment
Crewmembers should be available for assignments on ALL three days beginning on Friday, June 7th (optional), through cleanup on Sunday, June 9th. There is 1 crew logistical meeting in May so the crew can get to know each other, the course, and the volunteers assigned to them. Crewmembers must be in good physical condition, as heavy lifting is required. If you register as crew, you will stay at the campsite on Saturday night.

Meals and support will be provided for the full two days. The registration fee for Crewmembers is $50.00. This is used to offset the operational expenses associated with the event and for food, t-shirts, etc. Crew members have no fundraising responsibilities but are, of course, encouraged to raise funds for the cause.

Want to participate in the Long Island 2 Day Breast Cancer Walk, but not up to walking 35 miles and cannot commit to help for all three days? Then help us by volunteering! Being a volunteer on the days of the event is a great way to support your family and friends who are participants in the walk. There is no registration fee for volunteers and there is no fundraising objective, though donations and fundraising efforts are greatly appreciated. Volunteers do NOT camp out on Saturday night. Volunteers should be available to attend at least one logistical meeting with the crew prior to the event.
