Crew Members and Volunteers
Crew Members: Three Day Commitment
Crewmembers should be available for assignments on ALL
three days beginning
on Friday, June 8th (optional), through cleanup on Sunday, June 10th.
There is 1 crew logistical meeting in May so the crew can get to
know each other, the course, and the volunteers assigned to them.
Crewmembers must be in good physical condition, as heavy lifting
is required. If you register as crew, you will stay at the campsite
on Saturday night.
Meals and support will be provided for the full two days. We ask
that crewmembers make a minimum donation of $85 to offset this expense,
but it is optional. Crew members have no fundraising responsibilities
but are encouraged to raise funds for the cause.
Volunteers: Four Hour or Multi-Day
Commitments Available
Want to participate in the Long Island 2 Day Walk to Fight Breast Cancer,
but not up to walking 35 miles and cannot commit to help for all
three days? Then help us by volunteering! Being a volunteer on the days
of the event is a great way to support your family and friends who are
participants in the walk. There is no registration fee for volunteers and
there is no fundraising objective, though donations and fundraising efforts
are greatly appreciated. Volunteers do NOT camp out on Saturday night.
Volunteers should be available to attend at least one logistical meeting
with the crew prior to the event.
Please remember with this registration that you are making a commitment
and that many people are depending on you. We need committee members
for organizational details, as well as enthusiastic people to provide
the services needed by the walkers.

find one at the end of your arm ... As you grow older you will discover
that you have two hands. One for helping yourself, the other for helping
others." —Audrey Hepburn
